Junior Mortgage Broker

Are you an accredited Junior Broker with a passion for the mortgage industry and a drive to excel? Join our team at Maher Group Finance, a brokerage firm offering an exciting opportunity for growth and advancement as part of a large financial services group. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a minimum Cert IV in Mortgage Broking qualification, preferably backed by 2 years or more of experience in commercial and residential lending.

LOCATION: Caringbah 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist in managing client relationships, assessing their mortgage needs, and providing tailored solutions.

  2. Conduct thorough analysis of client financials to determine suitable lending options.

  3. Liaise with lenders to negotiate favourable terms and conditions on behalf of clients.

  4. Prepare loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  5. Collaborate with senior management to develop strategies for business growth and client acquisition.

  6. Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting mortgage lending.

  7. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

  8. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in mortgage broking.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimum Cert IV in Mortgage Broking qualification, preferably diploma qualified.

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial and residential lending, preferably with 2 years or more in a similar role.

  • Accreditation with a recognised industry body (e.g., MFAA, FBAA) required.

  • Strong understanding of lending products, loan structures, and credit assessment processes.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and lenders.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Ambitious and driven to succeed, with a desire to grow into an equity share partner role.

Administrator

Maher Group Finance is seeking a well-presented professional with exceptional communication and organisation skills. Join our team at Maher Group as an Administrator and play a vital role in supporting the Director with your administrative expertise.

LOCATION: Caringbah 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage incoming calls and emails with professionalism and courtesy, providing prompt assistance or directing enquiries to the appropriate personnel.

  2. Support office organisation and efficiency by managing administrative tasks, including meticulous data entry and diligently following up with clients and lending partners to ensure smooth progress of loans.

  3. Prepare and format documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  4. Ensure accuracy and completeness in all administrative tasks, with a strong focus on attention to detail.

  5. CRM management, including updating client records and generating loan documents.

  6. Assist with coordinating meetings and appointments, including scheduling, sending reminders, and arranging necessary resources.

  7. Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute to team success.

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Impeccable presentation and professional demeanour, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly phone manner.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, lending partners and clients.

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficiency in typing and data entry.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

  • Previous exposure to CRM systems is advantageous, although training will be provided.

  • Experience in finance or banking sectors is preferred but not required.

  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
